AEC Draftsman

Position OverviewThe AEC Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings and documentation for architectural, structural, and MEPFS disciplines. Working in an outsourcing environment, the AEC Draftsman collaborates closely with internal team leaders and client representatives to produce high-quality outputs that comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural, structural, and MEPFS drawings based on mark-ups, sketches, models, or design input.
  
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings according to project specifications and standards.
  
• Coordinate with team leaders and discipline coordinators to clarify instructions and resolve technical issues.
  
• Apply standard layering, naming conventions, and drawing presentation formats.
  
• Maintain version control and file organization as per QA/QC guidelines.
  
• Collaborate with other draftsmen to ensure integration across disciplines.
  
• Revise drawings based on internal or client feedback in a timely manner.
  
• Ensure proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and references.
  
  

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one BIM software (e.g., Revit)
  
• 1–3 years of experience in AEC drafting; outsourcing or consultancy background preferred
  
• Understanding of international drawing standards (e.g., US, UK, Australian)
  
• Familiarity with AEC industry practices and terminology
